Conservative Councillors have again met with Council Officers to discuss the ongoing concerns regarding unauthorised traveller encampments on the Downs and other nearby green spaces (such as Horfield Common).
Last week large sections of Central London were brought to a standstill due to the actions of a relatively small group of Climate Change Activists. They cost businesses millions of pounds and cause considerable misery for huge numbers of commuters.
Another bank holiday and yet another traveller encampment on the Downs. This is happening now with monotonous regularity and despite the fact the Council already maintains a transit site that travellers can use in North Bristol.
I am deeply concerned about the Council’s proposed plans for the North Bristol Road Network. These proposals were originally scheduled for publication in March 2016 in response to the large amount of new housing being proposed in South Gloucestershire.
